AYHC WEBINAR: Public Policy and Legislation in the Horse Industry


American Youth Horse Council and American Quarter Horse Youth Association invite youth and adults to learn about public policy and legislation in the horse industry, how to get involved in political issues that affect horse enthusiasts, and what it’s like to visit with lawmakers. This session will be hosted by Justin Eddy, AQHYA first vice president with special guest Ward Stutz, AQHA director of breed integrity and animal welfare. There will be a Q&A session at the end, so please join and participate!

About our speakers:


Justin Eddy of Rocheport, Missouri currently serves as the American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) first vice president and is chairman of AQHYA’s Public Policy Committee. Before that he served two terms as an AQHYA regional director in addition to being president of his state affiliate.


Ward Stutz has worked for AQHA for 25 years and is currently AQHA’s Director of Breed Integrity. Ward received his Masters of Science Degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University and his Bachelors Degree from Colorado State University. Ward’s responsibilities at AQHA include directing AQHA’s Public Policy efforts, overseeing AQHA’s Animal Welfare initiatives and compliance of AQHA’s animal welfare and drug testing rules. Ward has been active in organizations that support the horse industry including AYHC, CHA, Animal Welfare Council and United Horse Coalition.
