Anderson, IN – The third in the series of Harness Horse Youth Foundation’s Activity Boxes is now available.
“Our theme for this box is ‘at the races’ which is appropriate since several major races are on the calendar in the next few weeks. Our social science section highlights the Hambletonian and even includes Warkentin’s Road To The Hambletonian notes” Ellen Taylor HHYF Executive Director explained. “But there’s more – a souvenir horseshoe to go with material about shoeing as well as lots of racetrack information about track sizes and happenings on race day. There are activities pinpointing racetracks in North America plus two unique racing games and, of course, a few other surprises!”
The Activity Boxes intertwine harness racing and general horse information with art, math, science, history, social science, language arts and vocabulary words; they are based on a build-on-your-knowledge design. The content is geared toward ages 10 - 13, but older teens will find the activities entertaining as well.
To order the 4-set series, visit https://hhyf.org/activity-boxes/ or call 317.908.0029 for additional information. Boxes may be ordered now through September 15.
